Analysis is made of Shaanxi merchants’ economic and trade activities in Gansu during Ming and Qing Dynasties.A Description is also made of the basic situation of the merchants who set up guild hall in Gansu,with further discussion about its positive role of the economic and trade activities in Gansu in promoting commodity economy,growth of market economy and strengthening the exchanges between central and western regions’s economics and culture.
