Abstract
Shaanxi merchants guilds in Ming and Qing Dynasties are the product of the development of Chinese traditional market. It was because the guilds contained new elements of market and characteristics of civil society in Ming and Qing Dynasties when market economy was coming that guilds themselves inevitably had many market mechanisms. The paper explores and analyzes these market mechanisms, which to a certain extent reflect the characteristics of the commodity economy during the transitional period of Feudal society in ming and Qing Dynasties. But this tends to be ignored in the previous studies of Shaanxi merchants guilds in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
