Abstract
Objective To investigate the mechanism of the left vetricular remodeling after acute myocardial infarction,we examined the effects of 3 weeks treatment with an angiotesin converting enzyme inhibitor,Enalapril,on hemodynamics and cardic morphology in myocardial-infarcted rats. Methods The rats were divided into three groups:MI group, MI Enalapril treated group and SO,sham-operated group. Results Enalapril had special effects on ventricular geometry in rats with infarction, which resulted in decreasing radius of left ventricular cavity 14.1% compared with MI rats, the LVEDP were decreased significantly(P0.01).Conclusion The results showed the use of Enalapril after MI may improve the cardiac function.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
