Clinical Observation on Retention of Residual Root and Crown Lengthening Surgery

Objective To observe the Crown lengthening on the tooth to the therapeutic effects of subgingival residual root.Methods 35 tooth to subgingival 1~3mm single rooted teeth residual root and Crown lengthening.Under root length 35 teeth into A and B two groups,A group of 20 teeth,root length≥1.5cm,B group of 15 teeth,1.2cm ≤root length ≤1.5cm.For 6 weeks after General repair.Comparison of preoperative and postoperative Mach results after 6 weeks,repair(Including periodontal probing depth,PD and loosening of teeth ND)to evaluate the clinical effects.Results 35 March after teeth week well,no loose after A group of B and postoperative 33.33% of Ⅰ~Ⅱ appears loose,total effective rate(failure of 5 cases) 85.72%.Conclusion Crown lengthening is conducive to the protection and restoration of residual root,is the effective retention of residual root and Crown of A best practice.But note that indication of choices.
