Advances in Research of Soil Seed Bank

The soil seed bank means the whole survived seeds existing in the surface of soil and deep in the soil.As the potential plant population,soil seed bank plays a significant role for the vegetation restoration.The paper elaborated on reviewing the concept,size,classification of the soil seed bank as well as its relationships with the above-ground vegetation and methodology concerning it.The advances in soil seed bank research during recent years,the hot spots and future direction in soil seed bank research were analyzed and discussed so as to lay the foundation for further study.
