Abstract

The model of involutes spur gear was built with Pro/E software in this paper. Then the bending stress at the tooth root was analyzed with finite element analysis software ANSYS.The contour distribution of bending stress was obtained and compared with the theoretic results. The result showed that through establishing reasonable model and setting reasonable boundary conditions,ANSYS software can accomplish the numerical simulation accurately.
