Abstract
According to the coordinates transform theory, the finite element model of gear was established under the environment of ANSYS and the stress of a gear was analyzed. The gear's real stress field obtained by finite element method was more accurate than that obtained by traditional method. Therefore,it can provide the dependable basis for strength calculation of teeth of the gear.
