Abstract

The homopolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone(NVP) and N-vinylcaprolactam(NVCL) as well as their copolymers were synthesized in aqueous solution. The molar ratios of the two monomers in the mixture of polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyvinylcaprolactam were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The standard working curve was established to analyze the average copolymer composition. The reactivity ratios for NVP and NVCL evaluated by FR and KT methods were(4.68) and(0.333,) respectively.
