Abstract
Objective To probe the expression and significance of p53 tumor suppressor gene in squamous cervical carcinoma.Methods Apply immunohistochemical ABC method to detect the p53 labelling indices (p53 LI) and p53 positive expression rate in 15 cases of normal cervical epithelia,22 cases of CIN Ⅰand CIN Ⅱ,16 cases of CINⅢ and 52 cases of invasive squamous cervical carcinoma(ISCC) tissues.Results p53 protein was not detected in normal cervical epithelia and CINⅠand CINⅡ.A few positive cells were detected in CINⅢ,p53 LI in CINⅢ was lower than in ISCC ( P 0.01).p53 LI increased with the differentiation degree progression of ISCC.Conclutions p53 played an important role in the cervical tumorigenesis.it is an important index in the progression and prognosis of cervical carcinoma.
