Abstract

The method for virulence rejuvenescence of Paecilomyces farinosus and application techniques of rejuvenescence Paecilomyces farinosus in forest were studied.Using the rejuvenescence Paecilomyces farinosus to control the Tomicus piniperda in Pinus yunnanensis stand of 150 ha located at Wenjiafen and Huoshiliangzi of Zhanyi county of Yunnan province,the following results were achieved.The fatality rate of rejuvenescence Paecilomyces farinosus on Tomicus piniperda was 88.5 %,and that of Paecilomyces farinosus without rejuvenescence treatment was only 39.7 %.The effect of temperature on control effect of Paecilomyces farinosus on Tomicus piniperda was not significant,and the optimum temperature scope was 15 ~ 20℃,the optimum relative humidity was 90 % ~ 95 %,with the lower limit of 80 %.Mid January,last third of June and last third of October were the optimum time for Tomicus piniperda control using Paecilomyces farinosus.The effect of controlling Tomicus piniperda by using Paecilomyces farinosus at the experimental sites afforementioned,the percentage of Tomicus piniperda damaged individuals decreased from 32.9 % to 4.6 %,which implied the significant control effect in forest.
