Abstract
Pure molybdenum material was welded by means of vacuum electron beam welding, and the weld trait was analyzed too.Through analyzing the microstructure of welded joint with optical microscope, and comparing the each molten pool patterns under different welding parameters, the effect on weld trait of welding speed and welding current was discussed. The results indicate that the weld grains get very large with vacuum electron beam welding;welding speed and welding current are key factors to affect the weld penetration and depth-to-width ratio.
