Abstract
In order to study the vacuum electron beam welding properties of aluminum alloy slab,an AL6061-T6 alloy sample processed by THDW-6 vacuum electron beam welder were determined, and the effect of accelerating voltage, working distance, and welding speed on the ratio of depth to width were examined. The mechanical properties and microstructure were analyzed when welding parameters were at working distance 110mm,accelerating voltage 70kV,electron beam current 40mA,focus current 638mA,and welding speed 540mm/min,and the fracture strength of the joint reached 87% of base metal, and the microstructure grain boundary is obviously, the lattice is cubic, and the leak rate of the welding aluminum enclosure is better than 10-9Pa·m3/s. The experiment results show that the satisfying weld appearance, good microstructure and mechanical properties can be achieved by vacuum electron beam welding.
