Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) with type Ⅱ respiratory failure. Methods 90 cases patients with COPD and type Ⅱ respiratory failure were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each of 45 cases.Control group received conventional therapy;Observation group received noninvasive positive pressure ventilation based on control group. Before and after treatment 72h,performed blood gas analysis, and recorded heart rate and respiratory rate.Compared hospitalization time and intubation rate of two groups. Results After treatment,pH,PaO2 were rised,PaCO2,respiratory rate and heart rate of two groups were lower, and improvment situation of observation group was better than control group, the difference were statistically significant significance(P0.05).Hospitalization time of observation group[(12.9±3.6)d] was shorter than that of control group[(19.3±3.5)d],intubation rate(4.4%) was lower than that of control group(13.3%),the difference were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Noninvasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of COPD with type Ⅱ respiratory failure has significantly effective.
