XU Zhi-mo:A Natural Poet Nurtured by Philosophy of Nature

In modern literary history,few poets could surpass XU Zhi-mo in describing nature with such interest,with so much effort and with so natural brush strokes. Comparing with GUO Mo-ruo and ZONG Bai-hua' attitudes to nature,XU listened to more natural sound and got inspiration more directly from nature. It is at this point,LAO Zi's view of Imitation of and ZHUANG Zi's emphasis on human nature had been echoed in XU's poetry and vividly expressed. In this sense,XU can be called pure nature lover. He is inspired by the spirit of nature. Nature also saved him from life suffering and saved him of the human nature that may be lost amid the complex society.
