Abstract
Objective:To study the protective effects of Astragalus Membranaceus (AM) injection on the ventricular function and electrocardiogram (ECG) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in the rabbit hearts.Method:The model of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury was created by reperfusing the anterior descending branch of the coronary artery for 60 minutes after ligating it for 60 minutes. The effects of AM injection on the ventricular function and ECG of rabbit was observed continuously. The plasma SOD activity and MDA content was determinated before myocardial-ischemia and after reperfusion. Results:Compared with those of the control group, the left ventricular ±dp/dt max and LVSP of the AM group was increased obviously,LVEDP,T and ET was decreased markedly(P0.05 or P0.01);while the plasma SOD activity of the AM group was increased markedly and MAD content was decreased significantly (P0.05 or P0.01).But the ECG ∑ST was not significant difference between the two groups (P0.05).Conclusion:AM injection could eliminate free radical, improve the left ventricular systolic and diastolic function significantly. It possessed definite protective effects on the heart function on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury.
