Abstract
Four main rice varieties planted popularly since 1970s in Liaoning and a super high yield variety were uned to analysis the changes of the protective enzyme activities and lipid peroxidation after full heading stage. The result indicated that activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)increased, while malondialdehyde(MDA)content declined as the new varieties being released. This tendency was more obvious for the 3rd leaf. The above results revealed that super high yield varieties has high ability of cleaning activized oxygen, and this ability was stronger in lower leaves or at late period of grain filling stage.
