On the Aesthetic Representation of the Translation of Classical Chinese Poetry——A Discussion Based on Case Analysis of the Translation of Du Fu's Poem View from a Height

Translation,from the perspective of translation aesthetics,is an inter-lingual aesthetic representation which follows an artistic experiencing process of sensing,understanding,transferring and representation.The key to a successful aesthetic representation in translation is whether a translating aesthetic subject can realize the artistic materialization of his aesthetic experience in the target text and find the best artistic expression for the source text.Through the analysis of two different English translation versions of Du Fu's Viewing from a Height,the present paper makes a tentative study of the aesthetic representation in the translation of the classical Chinese poetry.
