Abstract

Objective:To determine the effects of different fissure surface treatments,of whether pit and fissure is contaminated by saliva or not,of different fissure sealants, and of different irradiation time on the penetration of fissure sealant.Method:A total of 48 extracted human permanent molars were randomly divided into 16 3-teeth groups.Sealing the pit and fissure with different methods and fissure sealants.Penetration ability was examined after sectioning.specimens were observed under a stereomicroscope.Result:The differences of two factors, namely, fissure sealant and fissure surface treatment were significant(P 0.05),and interaction between fissure sealant and fissure surface treatment was also significant(P 0.05).Conclusion:Combination of enameloplasty sealant technique and fissure sealant Helioseal F has proved to be a better solution.
