Abstract
Objective To study the conditions of extracting flavonoids from the branches of Elaeagnus angustifolia L.Method By using Soxhlet extractor, water and ethanol were used as medium respectively. Results Both extraction time and solid-liquid ratio had no significant effects on the extraction rate(P 0.05),while different temperatures had significant effects on the extraction rate(P 0.01)in water extraction method. The best extraction rate was obtained by using 95% ethanol in ethanol extraction method. Conclusion The extraction rates were not significantly different between water extraction method and ethanol. So,water extraction method was recommended in considering the cost.
