Investigation and Analysis on the Health Service in Daning Community of Zhabei District in Shanghai

OBJECTIVE To investigate the requirement of community health services for residents in Daning Community Zhabei District of Shanghai,analyze the influencing factors of community services requirement and explore its development strategies.METHODS 1 259residents who participated in the epidemiological investigation of metabolic syndromes(MS)were selected to be interviewed.The personal information and requirements of community health services were recorded by questionnaires.The survey selected 1 201questionnaires,in which all information supplied is completed.RESULTS Almost 110 of the residents said they have demands for all the community health services provided in the questionnaires,80%of which are in poor health status.However,about one-third of the residents showed no interest in any of the services.Most of the unhealthy people needed the community health services more than the healthier(P0.05).According to this investigation,the most popular choice is feasible techniques of traditional Chinese medicine.CONCLUSIONS We could blend traditional Chinese Medicine into community service and expand the variety of services.The aim is to promote the residents' trust and satisfaction degree.
