Abstract

Objective To assess the values for tissue elasticity obtained from real-time tissue elastography(RTE)in diagnosing liver fibrosis.MethodsLiver fibrosis of 76 patients with chronic hepatitis B were divided into F0-F4.In the same time,RTE were performed to get the values for tissue elasticity, including average relative strain value(MEAN),standard deviation of relative strain value(SD),area ratio of low-strain region(AREA),complexity(COMP),kurtosis(KURT),skewness(SKEW),contrast(CONT),entropy(ENT)and inverse difference moment(IDM).ResultsSpearman's correlation analysis demonstrated the values for tissue elasticity were correlated with liver fibrosis.Correlation coefficient of MEAN,AREA,COMP and SKEW were greater than others, and were-0.742,0.812,0.640 and 0.652 respectively.ConclusionsThe values for tissue elasticity may reflect the degree of liver fibrosis, and may be a new non-invasive method of diagnosing liver fibrosis.
