An Investigation of Mental Health of Freshmen in Vocational College——A Case Study of Jinzhong Vocational&Technical College

Abstract

To explore the mental health condition of freshmen in vocational college and launch mental health education of freshmen, the SCL-90 is adopted to investigate 2823 freshmen enrolled in Jinzhong VocationalTechnical College in 2012. The statistics shows that the mental health condition of freshmen in Vocational College is generally good. The project factors of college students surveyed are obviously lower than national norms except the factor of terror. The top five are terror,mobilization,hostility,psychotics and anxiety.This paper analyzes the results and proposes the opinions and suggestions to strengthen and improve mental health of freshmen.
