Abstract
Objective: To evaluation of anti-platelet aggregation and anti-thrombotic role of in Dracocephalum moldavica L. extractions and different fractions. Methods: Using turbidimetry determination of Dracocephalum moldavica L. alcohol extracts,aqueous extraction and different fractions anti-platelet aggregation; three experimental models in vivo,FeCl 3- induced arterial thrombosis,Pulmonary thromboembolim in mice and ligation- induced inferior caval thrombosis in rat were used to examine the antithrombotic activity of aqueous and alcohol extract of Dracocephalum moldavica L. Results: Dracocephalum moldavica L. alcohol extracts,chloroform,ethylacetate,n-butanol fractions were 10μg / ml, 100μg / ml,1000μg / ml all three dose have effectively inhibit platelet aggregation induced by thrombin; 10μg / ml for the effective dose;Dracocephalum moldavica L. different extracts of 100 mg / kg and 400 mg / kg can extension arterial thrombosis induced by FeCl 3 and significantly decease wet weight of thrombus( P 0. 05 or P 0. 01); markedly increase the survival rate of the mouse suffering from Pulmonary thrombosis induced by the mixture of collagen and epinephrine( P 0. 05 or P 0. 01) and significantly decreased the weight of thrombus ligation of inferior venacava( P 0. 05 or P 0. 01); the dose were 400 mg / kg alcohol extracts effect is most significant( P 0. 01). Conclusion: Dracocephalum moldavica L. alcohol extracts and n-butanol fraction showed better anti-platelet aggregation; alcohol extracts have strong anti-thrombotic activity.
