Abstract
In order to find out the effect of Sb on the mechanical properties of Mg-6Al alloy, tensile tests, fracture analysis and microstructure observation are used to study the tensile strength and elongation of Mg-6Al alloy with different content of Sb at 150 ℃ and 175 ℃,and the relation between Sb and the mechanical properties of Mg-6Al alloy is obtained. The results show that with the increase of Sb content, the tensile strength and the elongation of Mg-6Al alloy increase at first stage and then decrease. And the peaks appear at 1% Sb. With the suitable content of Sb,the microstructure of Mg-6Al alloy can be improved and the mechanical properties can be promoted.
