Abstract
The tensile strength and elongation of Mg-6Al alloy with different content of Sn at 150℃ and 175℃ are investigated by tensile tests, fracture analysis and microstructure observation, and the relation between Sn and the mechanical properties of Mg-6Al alloy is obtained. The results show that the tensile strength and the elongation of Mg-6Al alloy are increased at first and then decreased with the increase of Sn content. And the peaks appear at 1%Sn.With the suitable content of Sn,the microstructure of Mg-6Al alloy can be improved and the mechanical properties can be promoted.
