Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the influence of hepatocyte growth factor on regeneration and function of liver after hepatectomy. Methods30% hepatectomy was performed on SD rats. Hepatocyte growth factor was administered by infusion into intro-abdomen on the 10th day after hepatectomy. ResultsLiver regeneration and enhance liver function could be found in rats treated with hepatocyte growth factor. ConclusionHepatocyte growth factor enhances the growth and function of the remnant liver in rats with cirrhosis after partial hepatectomy.
