Abstract
Three intracellular polymers,poly-β-hydroxyalkanoate(PHA),glycogen and poly-metaphosphate,in the polyphosphate accumulating organisms(PAOs)play a very important role in vivo metabolism and growth,which also affect the treatment effect of the enhanced biological phosphorus removal systems.Therefore it is necessary to analyze the intracellular polymers.This paper introduced the conventional methods to qualitatively and quantitatively determine PHA,glycogen and poly-metaphosphate as well as their extrications,pretreatment,the determination principles and matters need attention.
