Abstract
Monoclonal antibodies(McAb) against canine distemper virus(CDV) were produced by fusing SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with CDV.Four hybridoma cell lines secreting specific antibodies against CDV were obtained by screening hybridoma culture supernatants with indirect immnofluorescence assay. All of McAb were IgG1.Their titre in culture supernatants and ascitic fluids ranged from 3.2×10 -2 to 1.28×10 -3 and 3.2×10 -4 to 1.6×10 -5 respectively. Two of McAbs(A-1,A-2) were found have neutralizing activity against CDV infection and could protect 50% cells from pathological changes even it was diluted 32 or 128 times.Good result was obtained when CDV A-1 was used to treat 100 CDV infected canines.
