Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of rabeprazole-based and omeprazole-based triple therapy in the treatment of H pylori(Helicobacter pylori)positive peptic ulcer.Method One hundred and forty-eight patients with H pylori positive peptic ulcers were randomized into two groups,seventy-four patients in each group. The patients were given triple therapy with amoxicillin and clarithromycin. The healing rate of peptic ulcer, the eradication rate of H pylori, the relief rate of abdominal pain and adverse reaction were observed, all of the data were analysed by statistics. Results The healing rate of peptic ulcer in rabeprazole-group and omepreazole-group were 97.3% and 95.9%,respectively(P0.05);the eradication rate of H pylori were 95.9% and 93.2%,respectively(P0.05).There were no significant difference in adverse reaction(P0.05).The relief rate of abdominal pain at the first day and the second day in rabeprazole-group were 81.1% and 91.9%,respectively,and in omepreazole-group were 60.5% and 71.6%,respectively(P0.05).Conclusion Both regimens are effective for H pylor positive peptic ulcer.Rabeprazole-based triple therapy is superior to omeprazole-based triple therapy in improving abdominal pain.
