Problems of Micronucleus Test in Vicia faba Root Tips and Improvement Strategy

The micronucleus technology in Vicia faba root tips was a new rapid bioassay method,which was arrayed in the National Biological Monitoring Technical Specification for Water Environment.It was widely used in monitoring the heavy metals,organic pollutants and other environmental mutagenic matters.The development process of micronucleus technology in V.faba root tips was introduced,the problems in practical operation were discussed,and the improvement strategies were put forward to provide the basis for the perfection and wide application of the technology.
