Clinical and experimental study of Liuweidihuang Decoction in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus with kidney yin deficiency syndrome and non kidney yin deficiency syndrome

Objective: To explore the treatment effect of Liuweidihuang Decoction on type 2 diabetes mellitus with kidney yin deficiency syndrome and non kidney yin deficiency syndrome and to discuss the correlation of Liuweidihuang Decoction and Neuro-endocrine-immunity network(NEI).Methods: 80 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into kidney yin deficiency group(40 patients) and non kidney yin deficiency group(40 patients).Each group were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(20 patients).The patients of treatment group were given Liuweidihuang Decoction.The patients of control group were given glybenzcyclamide.4 weeks is a treatment course.Clinical symptoms,diabetes indicators and the change in NEI network were observed before and after treatment in both groups.Results: Liuweidihuang Decoction has an effect on NEI network of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients,both in kidney yin deficiency group and non kidney yin deficiency group,but greater in kidney yin deficiency group.Comprehensive effect and the reduce of blood glucose is superior to the control group and non kidney yin deficiency group.Conclusion:Liuweidihuang Decoction is mainly for kidney yin deficiency syndrome of type 2diabetes mellitus.The key point of Liuweidihuang Decoction treating kidney yin deficiency syndrome of different diseases maybe lies in it,regulating NEI network through multiple targets.
