Abstract
The modified HS was used as a basal medium to study the effects of different explants of Melilotus suaveolens,including aseptic seedling of cotyledon,hypocotyl and radicle,and KT(kinetin) concentrations on callus induction.The results showed that the hypocotyl was the best explant for inducing callus and the callus rate of was 100.0%.The callus induction rates of cotyledon and hypocotyl were inhibited along with the increase ofKT concentration,and under the condition of 1.0mg/L 2,4-D+0.1mg/L KT,their callus rateswere 98.00% and 100.00%,respectively.As for radicle,its callus induction was increased along with the increase of KT concentration and then reduced.And under the condition of 1.0mg/L 2,4-D+0.3 mg/L KT,the callus rate was 99.33%.
