Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of budesonide in treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) of acute exacerbation stage. Methods A randomized single-blinded study was performed. The Patients in standard observed were randomly divided into two groups:the patient in treatment with budesonide group and the patient in treatment with methylprednisolone group. The indexes were blood-gas analyses, pulmonary function, dyspnea grading and clinical effective rate of two groups. Results The indexes of PO2,PCO2,pulmonary function and dyspnea grading were improved after treatment of the two groups(P0.05),the indexes of PO2,PCO2,pulmonary function and dyspnea grading and the effective rates in the treatment with budesonide group were not significantly different with the treatment with methylprednisolone group(P0.05).Conclusion The results of the study indicated budesonide aerosol inhalation has obvious therapeutic effect on the patients of COPD in acute exacerbation stage, and slows decline of pulmonary function.
