A Review of Folk Law Study in China in 2011

The study on folk law in 2011 has been progressing steadily.All researchers have made their respective contributions in studying the ontology of folk law,the social positive study of folk law,national customary law,and the application of folk law to judicial practice.In the study of ontology of folk law,a growing number of studies have focused on the evaluation and reflection of the study of folk law.In terms of the social positive study,folk law involved in public law gradually has entered into the researchers' horizon.Based on the descriptive study of the national customary law,greater attention has been paid to its theoretical study and judicial application.In addition,research on the legal methodology in applying folk law to judicial practice as well as dispute settlement has also made constant and steady progress.
