Abstract
According to the structure characteristics of L-B composite brake beam, the finite element model of L-B brake beam based on contact is established, and the stress distribution of the brake beam in different conditions calculated is using I-DEAS software.Calculated results show that the stress concentration mainly generates in the root of brake header slider, which fit with the faults in actual operation, and provide reliable basis to improve design and optimization.
