Abstract

Taking the South China Sea oil field as an example, there are several ways for constraining 3D reservoir models using seismic inversion data were discussed in the paper. The research results showed that the multi-disciplinary information including seismic data applied generally to have randomly sedimentary microfacies model building which can make up for not having enough well bore information and decrease the uncertainty of the geological models. The built models can describe the 3D distribution features of reservoir microfacies, which not only can provide geological foundation for oilfield construction but also can support the prediction of reservoir physical property and the research of numerical modeling.
