Abstract

Living Zen advocated by Master Jinghui adheres to the basic spirit of the original Buddhism and complements Humanistic Buddhism. In both ideas and practice,Living Zen reflects some important theoretical and practical issues that Buddhism has been facing since it was first created: It is sacred or secular? Is it Ascetic or mean? Does it embrace daily life or the one and only way? Can words fully convey the meaning? Shall we get the fish and forget the fish gear? Different answers to these major theoretical and practical issues show differences in meaning and nature of different religions and their different attitudes towards the society, and especially, relationship between politics and religion.
