Abstract

RAPD was employed to probe genetic differences of 16 species of Dendrobium.20 primers with good polymorphism screened from 82 random primers were used to conduct RAPD analysis and dimorphic data of DNA f ragments were used to construct the dendrogram by UPGMA.Totally 142 bands were amplified and 118 of them were polymorphic accounting for 83.1%.Clustering results revealed that the dendrogram constructed with RAPD molecular makers was identical with the classic taxonomic system.Dendrobium plant are rich in genetic diversity and different populations in the same species vary much in genetic differentiation. The RAPD markers can provide the basis for taxonomic researches of Dendrobium plants.
