Abstract
Objective To evaluate Three-Dimensional Digital subtraction Angiography(3D-DSA)in diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms.Methods Conventional views of DSA and rotational DSA were initially taken in 25 patients suspected with abnormal vasculature using DSA.3D reconstruction of the intracranial arteries was processed using shaded surface display(SSD) method.Results 24 cases were diagnosed as intracranial aneurysms through 3D-DSA(26 intracranial aneurysms),1 case was diagnosed as the ampullar enlargement of posterior communicating artery.The precise location of vascular diseases was clearly visualized on 3D-DSA imaging in all 24 cases.The shape of the 26 intracranial aneurysms,their neck size and their relationships to the parent vessels were depicted or measured clearly.Conclusion 3D-DSA is a useful examination supplemented to conventional DSA,which may play an important role in diagnosis and treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
