Abstract
Objective To study the diagnostic value of synchronism marrow biopsy and bone marrow smear on pancytopenia.Methods The marrow samples of 289 patients with pancytopenia were collected,including bone marrow biopsy and bone marrow smear.Those sections and smears were observed.Results Of 289 patients,there were 176 patients diagnosed as aplastic anemia(AA) and myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS).Bone marrow smear was more valuable than bone marrow biopsy in diagnostic value.Conclusion Bone marrow biopsy can measure the hyperplasia level of the hematopoietic cells overall.The synchronism observation on both marrow biopsy and marrow smear can increase the diagnosis rate,effectively.
