Some Reflections on Complex Chinese Characters and Simplified Chinese Characters

Complex characters and simplified characters,both of which have made an outstanding contribution to the civilization progress of our society,have been acting as two different corporeal carriers of the Chinese characters culture.While the appearance of the simplified characters has its own historical significance according to the character evolution law,it does not gloss over the profound aesthetic wisdom and cultural connotation of the original complex characters.In consideration of the reality that the reform of simplified characters has basically come through and proved to be an irrevocable fact,we make our research into a full understanding of various benefits from reusing complex characters as well as a deeper comprehension of the importance of keeping using simplified characters in a normative way to the development of Chinese society.Finally,we appeal to the government and people from all walks for some feasible strategies and expect them to be brought into effect soon so that the contradiction between complicated characters and simplified characters can be well settled.
