Multi-angle Analysis of China's Fiscal Ability for Supporting Agriculture

Based on the national statistics from 1978 to 2008,this paper analyses China's fiscal ability to support agriculture which comes from the two aspects of its size and structure since the Reform and Opening Policy.Studies have shown that China's total investment in the financial support for agriculture is increasing year by year;the main reasons for a lack of financial support for agriculture are the inadequate scale and irrational structure.Therefore,the paper suggests that we should increase the intensity of financial tilt for supporting agriculture,maintain agricultural subsidies on the standing and stable growth,optimize the structure of fiscal expenditure on agriculture,strengthen basic rural construction,and further perfect the establishment on the financial system of supporting agriculture.
