Abstract
The rheological properties of slurry for tape-casting of nano-ZrO2 powder have been researched. The Slurry was prepared by using the an hydrous ethanol and acetone(volume ratio of 1 ∶ 1) as mixed solvent, polyvinyl butyal(PVB) as a binder, and triglyceride(TG) as a dispersant, and and Dioctyl phthalate and Dibutyl phthalate as a mixed plasticizer, respectively. The effect of eash organic additive amounts on the rheological behaviors of slurry were studied. The results show that the rheolgical behaviors are well with slurry viscosity of about 2200 mPa·s when dispersion dosage of 1wt%,the binder added in an amount of 5wt%,the mass ratio of the plasticizer with the binder is 1 ~ 1.3.ZrO2 ceramic substrates without defect have been prepared successfully.
