Investigation on Residue Quantity of Organophosphorous Pesticide in Vegetables in Nanchang City

Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to investigate organophosphorous pesticide residue quantity in vegetables sold in Nanchang City.[Method] 194 samples in summer of 2004,190 samples in summer of 2006 and 140 samples in summer of 2008 were collected from the fixed area respectively to detect the residue quantity of organophosphorous pesticide.The samples with over standard content(by using enzyme inhibition method) were detected by using gas chromatography in 2008.[Result] The over-standard rate of organophosphorous pesticide in vegetables sold in Nanchang City in 2004,2006 and 2008 were 37.6%,9.5% and 3.6% respectively.By using gas chromatography,the detection results showed that the vegetable samples with the over standard content in 2008 did not contain these five kinds of organophosphorous pesticides(methamidophos,monocrotophos,parathion-methyl,parathion,phosphamidon) forbidden by national law.[Conclusion] The residue quantity of organophosphorous pesticides in vegetables showed a significantly decrease trend.
