Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and side effects of NP and IAP regimens in treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Seventy-eight patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly divided into group A(42) and group B(36) and were treated individually with NP regimen and IAP regimen. Results In group A,the response rates were 52.38%(22/42),63.16%(12/19),43.48%(10/23) in whole group, untreated patients and retreated patients respectively. In group B, the response rates were 47.22%(17/36),62.50%(10/16),30.00%(6/20)in whole group, untreated patients and retreated patients respectively. There was no significant difference in response rate among all the patients and the untreated patients before between the two groups(P0.05).But in retreated patients, the response rates in group A was higher than that in group B(P0.05).There was no significant difference in myelosuppression and in nausea and vomiting between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Both NP and IAP are effective and tolerable regimens for advanced NSCLC patients, but it seems that NP is better for retreated patients.
