Abstract
Objective:To study protective effects of curcumin on ethanol induced oxidative injury on human L-02 cell line.Methods:The cell model on ethanol-induced oxidative injury was established by culturing L-02 cell with 200mmol/L ethanol in vivo for 24 hours as ethanol model groups.Half of ethanol group was treated with Curcumin at the same time as Curcumin-treated group.The SOD,GSH-Px and MDA in each group were detected.Results:The MDA in ethanol model group was significantly increased,but the activities of SOD and GSH-Px were decreased significantly than those in normal group respectively.After Curcumin intervention,the MDA was significantly decreased compared with the ethanol model group respectively.But the the activities of SOD and GSH-Px were increased significantly.Conclusion:Curcumin can protect ethanol induced oxidative injury in human L-02 cell line via alleviating lipid peroxidation and enhancing antioxidant abilities.
