Discussion on the Mentalities of Zhang Dai's Prose and Its Representative Forms

Others think Zhang Dai is a great prose master of late Ming Dynasty.However,by analysis,this paper thinks Zhang Dai's prose was mainly finished in early Qing Dynasty,so it is not good enough to call him like that.And his prose mainly contains two bodies—essay and biographic body.And his essay expresses missing and responsible feelings by recalling Late Ming Dynasty's lives.Biographic body expresses loyalities by talking about stories of late Ming Dynasty with historian's attitude.Due to the differences of expressing feelings and bodies,the style is different: essay is immaculate and biographic body is gloomy and massive.But they have one aim—to express writer's sincere feelings.
