Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of protease-activated receptor-1(PAR-1) in human cervical squamous carcinoma, cervical adenocarcinoma and carcinoma in situ tissues. Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used to examine the expression of PAR-1 in 35 specimens of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,25 cervical adenocarcinoma,20 SqCa in situ, and 20 normal cervical specimens. Results The expression of PAR-1 was negative in the normal cervical tissues. The positive rates of PAR-1 in the cervical carcinoma in situ and stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ cervical invasive carcinoma tissues were 20.0% 36.4% and 44.7%,respectively,all significantly higher than that of the normal cervical tissues(P=0.002 8).PAR-1 positive rate was 68.4% in cervical carcinomas with lymphatic metastasis, significantly higher than that without lymphatic metastasis(29.3%,P=0.004 2).Conclusion PAR-1 is closely associated with the development and metastasis of cervical carcinoma.
