Abstract
The spirit of humanism of Zhao Shuli's novel was formed by the spirit of new literature during May 4th Movement,the influence of democratic politics in liberated area and the heartly love to the brothers of peasants.Its connotation is to create new figures in the rural area with full affection,to make biographies for the best leaders in our communist party,to unfold the rural life in the new era before our eyes,and to attack the feudal remains power and the decadently feudal ideaology.Its significance is to make the human awake,regain the value and decency of human and make the human know the direction of their hard work.
