The effect analysis of Mesalamine combined with enema in the treatment of ulcerative colitis

Objective To explore the effect of Mesalamine combined with enema in the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Methods 76 patients with ulcerative colitis from July 2011 to July 2013 in Central Hospital of Huzhou City were selected as study objects, and they were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. Patients in control group were treated with willow nitrogen sulfanilamide, patients in treatment group were treated with Mesalamine combined with enema. The clinical therapeutic effects, mucosal tissue changes and adverse reactions of patients in two groups were analyzed. Results The effective rate of treatment group patients was 94.74%, which was higher than the control group(73.68%), the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05); and observed under colonoscopy, the mucosal tissue improvement rate of treatment group was 97.37%, which was higher than the control group(78.95%), the difference was statistical significance(P 0.05); the adverse reaction rate of treatment(5.26%) was lower than that of the control group(21.05%), the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Mesalamine combined with enema can improve the clinical curative effect of patients with ulcerative colitis, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, it has certain value in clinical application and research.
